On May 15, Restoration Alliance founder Dan Flory stepped off a plane in Nairobi, Kenya, and into a world of vast humanitarian potential. For the next 25 days, Dan plied his water resources expertise in Kenya and neighboring Zambia, training and partnering with local leaders in the ongoing effort to tap and maintain badly-needed water sources. His trip not only provided needed education for local workers, but set the stage for Restoration Alliance partnerships and projects in the very near future. “I thought before I left that the potential was so much bigger than we could imagine, and now I’m sure of it,” Dan said after his return on June 8. “Their countries have many natural resources, but it’s their people that are golden.”
